OmniPod Pod Recycling
11:47 PM
What do you do with 50 old pods lying around the house?
After the children are done playing with them . . . you recycle them!!!
It's easy peasy --- so easy that a 4 and 6 year old can do it!! Ok - I drove them to the FedEx store but they did the rest!
Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy!!

That is so cool! I always wondered what they did with all those pods!
I love that they were toys first though. Awesome!
Our kiddos must be a lot alike. We would have totally used those pods for toys and put stickers on them etc. I love that you didn't just toss them after they were done being toys but that you recycled them. Great way to be green!
Love it!! Now if I only knew what to do with my insets :)
SERIOUSLY UBER COOL!!! I love that your kids are playing with them. That soooooo is like my kids. They can make anything out of anything - if that makes any sense.
I never really gave the pods any thought...like recycling-wise etc.
Thanks for this awesome and uplifting post.
xoxo
Hey there - cool idea to play with them first! G always wants to see the inner workings of them after I peel off the backing. Then we too send them along to be recycled - just sent a batch of 50. Way to go Laura!
wow laura yeah recycling is great . I use recycled mailers to mail my books that I swap with people . yeah for recycling.
I love it!
I am so happy that the pump (both animas and omnipod) produce so much less waste than injections. We can recycle our insets as well..just pull out the insertion needle and all the rest gets recycled. I have only one sharps container in my home now (as opposed to 4) and it is not even 1/8 full after a month of pumping. Another pump benefit..helping the environment!
Lining them up with the cars is so funny :) YEAH FOR GREEN PUMPING!
Awesome pods!!! i've been on the pod for 2 and a bit months now and have been diabetic since i was 18 months old!! i'm 12 now so the pod is a huge breakthrough for me!
Thats great!! now i know what to do with all my old pods!( I'm Emily,by the way, put myself as anonymous as i dont have facebook or anything!! Thats me above, too!)
